How many times have you came across KompacPanels in a public space?
A few years back, we helped a local tea house in CHIJMES built a custom-made bar island countertop, and in a recent trip to Hvala one afternoon, we are pleased to share that the bar counter is still standing strong and looking as pretty as ever.
Because of the 6 mm-thick profile of our KompacPanels, it was easy for us to identify where our panels are applied in this café. The brown woodgrain colour also matches very well with the tea house’s zen-spired

Popular for its variety of signature drinks and desserts, Hvala is known for its use of authentic Japanese ingredients, and it is on that countertop where each cup is brewed to perfection. At the time of our visit, we were lucky to be able to grab seats at that exact bar counter while waiting for our orders to be prepared.
From where we were seated, there isn’t so much as a scratch in sight.
Here’s a close up look of our signature 6mm-panel, installed over an existing concrete slab. The black panel core contributes nicely to the overall sleek countertop aesthetics, don’t you think so too?
We especially love the grey table runner that matches the countertop woodgrains while acting as a coaster for baristas to handle boiling water and hot beverages on their side of the counter.
Because KompacPanels are non-porous, a simple wipe using mild detergent and water is more than enough to get any dirt or stain residue off the countertop surface. A little TLC is all it needs to keep its durable aesthetics clean and long-lasting.
